DESIGNER – FLEXO & DIGITAL PRINTING

Responsibilities
Develop creative and technically accurate artwork for labels, packaging, stationery, and other printed materials.
Prepare artwork for flexographic and digital printing in accordance with production specifications.
Operate and work effectively with digital printing equipment and related design/prepress systems.
Prepare files for production, including correct sizing, resolution, colour separation, bleed, trim marks, and other print specifications.
Review and proof artwork before production to identify and correct errors.
Collaborate with the production and printing teams to ensure artwork is suitable for the specific printing process.
Make design amendments and adjustments based on client requirements and production feedback.
Ensure consistency of colours, fonts, dimensions, layouts, and branding across different print jobs.
Troubleshoot artwork and prepress issues that may affect print quality or production efficiency.
Maintain organized design files, templates, and artwork archives.
Work within production deadlines while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality.
Stay updated on relevant design trends, printing technologies, and production techniques.
Support the team in improving design and prepress processes to minimize errors, wastage, and production delays.
Skills & Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Printing Technology, Visual Communication, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years' relevant experience in flexographic or digital printing.
Demonstrable experience working with digital printing machines and production artwork.
Practical knowledge of flexographic printing processes is highly desirable.
Proficiency in relevant graphic design and prepress software.
Good understanding of colour management, print resolution, file formats, bleed, crop marks, and artwork preparation.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify technical errors before production.
Ability to interpret client briefs and translate them into production-ready artwork.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight production deadlines.
